The camp is on a beautiful wooded 20 acre tract located 18 miles south of Ocala, Florida in Marion County just off U.S. Highway 301 and State Road 42. The main goal of this camp is to provide facilities for teachings, instructing, and encouraging young and old in the Christian way of life.

For almost 30 years, Camp Sonlight has offered a safe and serene location for church group retreats, family reunions, youth camps, couples retreats, worship services, music workshops, or just a weekend getaway. Located in Summerfield Florida, Camp Sonlight is ideal for year-round functions.

Beautiful shaded oaks provide perfect cover for your Spiritual encounters. Our Staff House accommodates 56 campers and offers private bathrooms and showers in each of the seven cabins. The four dormitories accommodate 18 campers each, two dorms for male campers and two dorms for female campers. Separate bathrooms and showers for both male and female campers are available.

A full-service commercial kitchen is available with gas ovens and stoves. Walk-in refrigerator and freezer and plenty of food storage is available. The Dining Hall seats 200 campers. Offices and restrooms are adjacent to the Kitchen and Dining Hall facilities.

Recreational areas include a sports court for basketball, volleyball and tetherball courts, a full-size swimming pool, and a large activities field. Our pool house and pavilion offer a great place for picnics and fellowship. The pool house has showers, restrooms, and a canteen service area. See our Facilities Page and Photo Page for more pictures. In addition, a bonfire circle is quietly positioned away from buildings to offer a special place to worship, sing, and meditate.

Camp Sonlight offers many relaxing places to just "take a load off" and enjoy the solitude of Central Florida. Take a quiet stroll around the camp and you are sure to feel the presence of God's Holy Spirit. Plenty of parking is available for cars, buses, and vans.
